John Alexander Case
Seeking John Alexander Case's parentage. I was told his father may be Erastus Case, since he had a son named John, but I don't think it is, unless I can hit more identifible factors, like his middle name, or birth year or place.
John Alexander Case b. March 1847 PA, d. 19 Sept 1927 Jefferson Co., AR ma abt 1894 AR a Margaret Miltilda (Webb) Ramsey b. August 1861 AR. d. bef 1910. Margaret had been married and brought four girls into the relationship. John and she had three sons and one daughter. John Alphred b. 1897, William 1895, Ida Mae b. 1900 and Thomas J. b. abt 1903. (More details below) I don't know our complete line. Have only made it back to John Alexander CASE b. March 1847 in PA. I do not know HIS FATHER'S NAME and that is the BIG, BIG question I am searching for. The census said his father was born in PA and his mother was born in Maryland. Could someone direct me to someone who may be able to help me with my search. The story is that he served in the Civil War and left in Tennessee. He ended up in Arkansas and remained there until his death. He died 20 Sept 1927 in Jefferson Co., AR.
I wish I knew where he came from in Pennsylvania?????? Do you know where in PA the majority of the Cases settled in 1840?
His childrens' names were as followed.
1.John Alphred b. 19 Feb 1897 Jefferson Co., AR. ma Lena Maupin. He is the f/o George Alphred Case f/o Dennis and John Case. Dennis is my husband. We have six Case kids.
2. William Alexander Case. b. July 1895 Jefferson Co., AR. He died in Cinncinatti, Ohio. Why William went to Ohio, I do not know? Did he have other relatives there? I suspect family may have been there. He was an insurance agent. He had at least one son Wm "Bill" Jr.
3. Ida Mae Case b. Jan 1900
4. Thomas J. Case b. abt 1903
Their mother Matilda Webb Ramsey died before 1910. She had been married before and had four daughters. He lived with one until his death . Her name was Alfa, mar. John Billingsley.

Caroline Matilda Case
I am looking for the parents of Caroline Matilda Case born Oct. 28, 1770 in Simsbury, Conn. She married Giles Hickox (Hickock) in 1788 also Simsbury. Giles was born in Durham, Middlesex Co. Conn.
Caroline is a member of the large Case family of Simsbury, Conn but what is the connection? On her deathbed she "wrote" an autobiography in which she mentions her mother dying when Caroline was three years of age and names neither parent. The father is never mentioned. Caroline was raised by her mother's friend and not a family member.
It is possible that Case is her mother's name and that the father is unkown?
I would appreciate any help on this puzzle and can tell you more of this autobiography if you ask.. Thanks

James CASE was b. ca. 1813-17 probably in OH. He appears in the 1850 and 1860 Federal censuses of Hamilton Twp., Warren Co., OH and the 1870 census of Douglas Co., IL. His wife was named Margaret.
A marriage is recorded 29 Oct 1835 Warren Co., OH for a James CASE and Margaret MUHONEY. Are they the same couple recorded in the above census records with the following children?
Their children included:

Robert Wilford Case
Looking for parents of Robert Wilford Case (aka Robert W Case, Robert Case). 1870 Kansas Census lists age as 34, makes birthdate 1836, in Ohio. 1920 Census lists age as 77, makes birthdate 1843, in Ohio. On his death certificate lists birthdate as March 5th, 1832, in Ohio. His wife was Elmira (aka Almira) Burge of Brookline, Mass. and they married in 1877 according to the 1920 Oregon Census which seems unlikely as their oldest child was born in Kansas in 1868. A ten year error I think. Marriage date was probably 1867. Many clues, no two alike, so what's the truth?

His parents were Charles Case and Francis Spaulding (all documents I have seen use the masculine form of Francis or use the name Fannie). Willie married a woman named "Mae" or "May". They had three or four daughters and the baby was a son, Bradley. Willie was one of my grandfather's half-brothers. My mother and late aunt spoke of them coming from "Duluth" for a visit. Her parents were John CASE and Lavenia? maiden name? CASE. She had a sister Dora CASE BURGER who was living in Ashland, NE at the time of my grandmother's death on June 13, 1975. Nellie married Alvis E DE FOREST in 1916. They lived in Wichita, KS.

I just received some information from the Marriage CD 5 on my grandma's sister, Dora CASE.It says she married Marshall A DAVIS on Jan. 3, 1907 in Cherokee, TX. Does anyone have information that ties into this? Thanks.

Pelina Franklin, James P. Case
I am seeking information for my mother, Phyllis Case Fried on our part of the Case family tree. I don't know if or where our families might connect, but I'll give you a brief idea of the info we seek.

Most of our ancestry in America seems to be centered first in North Carolina, then Tennessee, and some Ohio. We are looking for 2 people who seem to have disappeared. On the Hawkins Co. census (Tenn) in 1860 but not listed in 1870 were Pelina Franklin Case (born 1840 in NC) and James P. Case (born TN in 1847). There seems to be some connection between our family and Case implements, because my grandfather had to sign a release years ago to settle a will, and the feeling is that these 2 missing folks might have gone to work for that branch of the family, but we can find no confirmation. If anyone can find a link, or thinks info we have collected might hook up someplace, let me know.
