Rev. Dalton Harrell, 62, of Shepherdsville, was born November 6, 1941, to the late John and Mary Nalley Harrell in Nelson County, KY. He returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday at Norton Audubon Hospital with loved ones by his side. Mr. Harrell was a retired employee of General Electric, an employee of Bullitt County Road Department and a pastor of Independent Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mayme Skaggs Harrell; children, Tamatha Shepherd and Timothy Harrell and his wife, Sis; brothers, Clarence, Chester, Carl, Lawrence, Joe and Bobby Harrell; sisters, Agnes Wooden, Lil Thompson and Katie Barnes; four grandchildren, Denise, Kayla, Damon and Sydney; and a host of other family members and friends. Mr. Harrell's funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Independent Baptist Church, 915 Raymond Rd. Family and friends may kindly visit from 1-9 p.m. Wednesday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, family-owned, Preston Hwy. and Brooks Rd., and after 1 p.m. Friday at his church. Interment will be in Brookland Cemetery.
