One-handed fishing

The following images are below-elbow amp fishing oriented. The first few are my rod & reel, and what I use to hold my hook for baiting. And how I hold the pole in my elbow.

The rod is a straight, long handled rod. This is easy to hold in the crook of my elbow. And I have landed catfish that weighed 9 pounds with this combo.
This is a standard reel, not adapted for one hand fishing.
Confine the hook in a long hemostat. Easy then to hold the hemostat in the crook of the elbow, so it can be baited.
After casting, I fit the pole in the crook of my elbow and hold the end against my ribs. Casting is still the same as it was prior to amputation, except I have to cast like I am throwing a ball.
Another view of holding the pole, ready to set the hook.
"Come on fishie!"
Gotcha!
This one is bigger than he looks.
I use the hemostat to remove the hook from the mouth, by clamping the hook as for baiting, and then holding the tool the same as when baiting the hook. I then grasp the fish, and move/twist him as needed to unhook him.
