The family of the Wrights were in the lineage of the Wright Brothers, and were quite well-to-do in the area at the time. There is quite a bit of information on them on rootsweb which includes a will for the father, Caleb, that names Asahel or "Asel" as co-executor. I've been wondering about the area in California in the San Bernardino Mountains called Holcombe Valley where gold was found in the 1870's and wondered if there was any relation to Harriet's in-laws and this man who found the gold. His name was Bill Holcomb, possibly William, and the spelling could be with or without the "e". submitted by Lynn Marie Roberts - linmari@wcrtc.net
